Coreea de Nord este foarte aproape de un sfârşit tragic. Sunt două cauze ale acestei situaţii: dezastrul economic şi dezvoltarea armelor nucleare. Dezastrul economic se apropie de sfârşit. Şi nu de unul fericit! China nu poate susţine la nesfârşit Coreea de Nord. Iar alte surse pentru economia nord-coreeană sunt cu neputinţă de găsit, mai ales în miezul zbaterii pentru dezvoltarea armamentului nuclear. Singura ieşire din criză pare să fie, pentru Kim Jong-un, aceeaşi ca în trecut: ceva ameninţări cu războiul, liniştite de ceva ajutor umanitar. Însă această ieşire este închisă acum, iar conducerea nord-coreeană pare să nu aibă puterea de a înţelege acest fapt.

De ce este închisă această ieşire?
De ce conducerea nord-coreeană nu-şi dă seama de asta?
Ei bine, ameninţarea cu războiul a fost o ieşire atâta vreme cât mare primejdie era un război local cu (foarte) multe victime. Pentru a nu se ajunge la aşa ceva atât SUA cât şi Coreea de Sud erau dispuse să mai închidă ochii în faţa obrăzniciei nord-coreene şi să acorde un oarecare ajutor.
Dar acum Coreea de Nord este tot mai aproape de punctul în care devine o ameninţare nucleară pentru toţi vecinii, ba chiar şi pentru ţări îndepărtate, precum SUA.
Este o situaţie pe care nu o pot accepta n doar SUA ori Rusia, dar nici China. Existenţa unor arme nucleare eficiente în Coreea de Nord înseamnă o primejdie de moarte pentru orice ţară din jur, pentru orice ţară ce poate fi lovită de acestea. Este ceva imposibil de tolerat.
De aceea la acest nivel al programului său nuclear Coreea de Nord nu mai poate folosi ameninţările de război pentru ieşirea din criză.
Responsabilitatea nucleară, primejdia războiului nuclear, sunt mult prea mari pentru a fi folosite astfel. Este o purtare prea infantilă, şi o conducere atât de iresponsabilă nu poate fi lăsată să deţină un arsenal nuclear.
Deci, la prima vedere, există încă o ieşire uşoară din această situaţie:
un program de dezarmare nucleară nord-coreeană, negociat cu SUA, Coreea de Sud, China şi Rusia, în schimbul unui ajutor umanitar şi a unei ridicări treptate a embargoului.
Da, există o ieşire din criză.
Dar, după cum am spus, conducerea nord-coreeană pur şi simplu nu o vede!
De ce?
Pentru că este mult prea departe de a înţelege prăpastia reală dintre a avea o bombă nucelară şi o rachetă purtătoare cu rază mijlocie sau lungă de acţiune şi nivelul tehnologiei militare moderne.
Adevărul este că tehnologia nucleară nord-coreeană şi rachetele sale purtătoare sunt la nivelul celei de-a doua jumătăţi a secolului trecut. Pot provoca distrugeri uriaşe, dar numai dacă radarele şi sateliţii statelor ţintă sunt în întregime închise. Pentru că astăzi SUA, Rusia şi China dispun de mijloace de interceptare ce fac imposibile lovituri eficiente cu tipul de tehnologie deţinut de Coreea de Nord. Orice posibilă lansare nord-coreeană va fi interceptată chiar pe teritoriul ei, fie foarte aproape de acesta. Şi nimeni nu va permite o dezvoltare şi mai avansată a tehnologiilor militare nord-coreene.
Acesta este un adevăr pe care Guvernul nord-coreean nu îl poate accepta. „Soluţia” este aceea de a construi o rachetă mai bună, şi mai bună, tot mai bună, în speranţa că va ajunge la nivelul visat.
Dar cine va permite să se ajungă acolo?
Desigur, nu SUA, nu Rusia, nici măcar China.
Desigur, vor fi persoane care să creadă că Guvernul nord-coreean ar putea suferi în mândria sa din pricina reacţiilor populare faţă de o eventuală retragere din programul nuclear. Este o iluzie. Poporul nord-coreean va lua drept adevăr ceea ce îi va spune conducerea. De exemplu, că „marea dragoste de pace şi armonie a Guvernului l-a condus la hotărârea unei înţelepte dezarmări nucleare”. Oamenii vor plânge de bucurie pentru înţelepciunea Conducerii şi pentru pâinea care va veni.
Deci nu poporul nord-coreean este o problemă în această privinţă, chiar dacă suferă şi va suferi cel mai mult pentru tot ceea ce se întâmplă.
Problema reală este că Guvernul nord-coreean nu înţelege cu adevărat distanţa uriaşă dintre tehnologia lor şi tehnologia militară contemporană. S-au zbătut atât de mult pentru a ajunge la nivelul la care sunt astăzi încât nu înţeleg faptul că alţii sunt înaintea lor cu decenii de cercetare, inovaţie şi descoperiri.
Dacă China, SUA sau Rusia nu găsesc o cale de a face conducerea nord-coreeană să înţeleagă această situaţie, războiul va avea loc. Un război nuclear ce va lovi toate punctele militare nord-coreene, fie ele nucleare sau nu. Va fi un dezastru. Dar unul mai mic decât alternativa unui război nuclear pornit de Coreea de Nord. Este o alegere foarte grea, dacă ne uităm la nord-coreeni şi la povara cumplită pe care o duc şi o vor duce. Dar este o alegere uşoară dacă ne uităm la miliardele de oameni din jurul Coreii de Nord ce sunt ameninţate de programul nuclear al acestei ţări.
Este, oricum, foarte trist, şi nu putem decât să ne rugăm pentru pace.

North Korea is very close from a tragic end. There are two sources for this: the economic disaster and the nuclear weapons developing. The economic disaster is coming to an end. And not a happy one! China can’t sustain forever North Koreea. Other sources for North-Korean economy cannot be found, especially in the middle of the struggle for North-korean nuclear weapons development. The only exit from the crisis is for Kim Jong-un seems to be the same as in the past: some war threats, cooled down by some western humanitarian help. But this exist is close now, and North-Korean leadership seems to not have the power to understand this.
Why?
Why is this exit close now?
Why the North-Korean leadership don’t get it?
Well, the war threat was an crisis exit as long as the big danger was a local war with many causalities. For avoiding it both USA and South-Korea had a disponibility in closing there eyes to North-Korean insolence and give it some help.
But now North Korea is closer and closer to the point that it would be a nuclear threat for any neighbor, even for far-away countries like the USA.
This is something that not only USA or Russia, but even China can not accept it. Existence of efficient nuclear weapons in North Korea mean a deadly danger for any country around it, for any country that could be hit with it. And this is not to be tolerated.
That’s why at this level of its nuclear project North Korea can not use anymore of the war threats like an exit from the crisis.
The nuclear responsibility, the danger of a nuclear war, is too big to be used this way. This is far too childish, and such an irresponsible leadership can not be allowed to have a nuclear arsenal.
So, at first glance, it seems that still it’s an easy way to get out of this situation:
and a North-Korean nuclear disarmament program, negotiated with the USA, South Korea, China and Russia, in exchange for humanitarian support and a graduated release of embargo.
Yes, this is a way out of the crisis.
But, as I said, the North Korean leadership just did not get it!
Why?
Because North Korea is really far from understanding the gap between a nuke and a mid or long-range carrying missile and the real level of modern weaponry.
The truth is that North Korean nuclear technology and its carrying missiles are at the level of the second half of the last century. It can do a lot of damage, but only if all the radars and satellites of the target country are closed. Because today USA, Russia and China have new interception technologies that make impossible any accurate hit with that kind of old technology that North Korea is using. Any eventual nuclear missile launched by North Korea it will be destroyed on his territory or very close to it. And, obviously, nobody will let North Korea to develop it’s military technology even further.
This is the truth the North Korean leadership can not accept. And the „solution” is to develop a better missile, and a better one, and a better one, hoping it will do the trick.
But who will let this happen?
Surely, not USA, not Russia, not even China.
Of course, some people will think that the pride of the North-Korean leadership can suffer because of the own citizens interpretations about the Government’s step back in the nuclear weapons program. This is an illusion. The people of North Korea will take as truth what the Government will tell. For example, that „the great love of peace and harmony make the leadership to decide a wise nuclear disarmament”. The people will cry full of joy for the wisdom of the Government and for the bread that will come.
So, not the people form North Korea is the problem in this matter (even it suffers and it will suffer even more in the future for this).
The real problem is that the North-Korean Government really don’t understand the huge difference between theirs technology and the actual military technology. They had struggle so much for reaching this point that they can’t see that the others are with decades of research, innovations and discoveries away from that level.
If the China, USA or Russia don’t find a way to make the North-Korean leadership to understand this, the war will come. A nuclear war that will hit the North-Korean military points – nuclear or not. It will be a disaster. But a smaller one than the alternative of a nuclear war started by North Korea. It’s a hard choice if we look at the North-Korean people and think at the burden that it is and that it will be on him. But it’s a easy choice if we look at billions of people around North Korea that are threaten by the nuclear program of this country.
It’s very sad anyway, and we can just pray for peace.
